Walking along part of the Via Francigena, which connects San Gimignano to Colle Val d'Elsa and crossing small villages and farms, you will descend into the valley of the Foci Stream that once fed an ancient mill, of which you can still see the ruins hidden in the vegetation. One of the channels of the stream originates one of the two waterfalls that feed what the locals call the Blue Lagoon, a small but spectacular body of water that is colored green, blue and turquoise reflecting the colors of the forest that surrounds it.
