I am Benedetta and I welcome you to B&B La Cornice, which was originally built as a family home, but in 2016 it was renovated and transformed into a bed and breakfast. The rooms, each dedicated to an Italian actress or singer icon of the '50s and '60s, are adorned with the covers of the magazine Epoca belonged to my grandfather Tilio.

My brother and I loved to spend our days browsing through the magazine collection of our grandfather. So, what might look like just a simple picture for B&B guests, actually represents a piece of our family history, full of happy memories.

No detail has been left to chance: all rooms are equipped with mosquito nets, minibar, air conditioning, TV, electric shutters, hairdryer, awnings and suitcase holders.

Sophia Room - deluxe room with balcony

Measuring 33 sqm, Sophia Room is on the first floor and is ideal for a family of 4 or a couple who wants to stay in a large and spacious room. It consists of a double bedroom (bed 170x200 cm), a study with a French sofa bed (140x190 cm), a large bathroom with shower and terrace with table and chairs. Room amenities include minibar, air conditioning/heating, electric shutters, mosquito nets, electric awnings, hairdryer, suitcase holder, satellite TV and free Wi-Fi.

Virna room is on the first floor and is ideal for couples, it is equipped with two single beds (80X200 cm) which can be joined on request to form a double bed (160X200 cm), a private bathroom with large shower and terrace with table and chairs. Even in Virna room every detail has been taken care of, from the furniture to the comforts: minibar, air conditioning/ heating, electric shutters, mosquito nets, electric awnings, hairdryer, suitcase holder, satellite TV and free Wi-Fi.

It is 24 sqm room consisting of an entrance hall with a sofa bed (80x200 cm bed), double bedroom (170x200 cm bed) and private bathroom with a large shower. Claudia room is perfect for a stay of three people or for a couple who wants to stay in large spaces. This room is on the first floor, has a balcony and is equipped with every comfort: minibar, air conditioning/ heating, Wi-Fi, electric shutters, mosquito nets, hairdryer, suitcase holder, satellite TV and electric awnings.

Mina Room - deluxe room with kitchenette and private garden

The spacious Mina room, measuring 48 sqm, is designed for families and those who enjoy large spaces even while on vacation. Located on the ground floor with private entrance, this room can accommodate up to 3 adults and a child and consists of a double bedroom (with double bed 170x200 cm), a room with single bed and an additional pull-out bed (single beds 80x190 cm each), a private bathroom with a large shower and a closed veranda with relaxation area. The kitchenette is well equipped with an induction hob, kettle, microwave oven and refrigerator with freezer, making it ideal for those traveling with young children. To top it all off, there is a well-maintained private garden with a table and chairs that are perfect for enjoying a meal outdoors and soaking up the warm Tuscan sun.

The 15 sqm Gina room is ideal for couple stays: equipped with a double bed (170x200 cm), private bathroom with shower and terrace with table and chairs. It certainly does not lack the comforts for a 5-star vacation: minibar, air conditioning/heating, electric shutters, electric awnings, mosquito nets, hairdryer, suitcase holder, satellite TV and free Wi-Fi. The room is on the first floor.

Breakfast


Breakfast at B&B La Cornice is an experience that is good for the heart and the eyes. Our guests are pampered with a selection of sweet and savory delights, served with care and passion by me Benedetta, by father Beppe and my brother Giovanni.

In summer, breakfast is served in the panoramic garden, where guests can enjoy their freshly baked croissants and steaming coffee while admiring the breathtaking view of San Gimignano.

During your stay at B&B La Cornice you will find some typical surprises of our territory and the luckiest ones will have the opportunity to taste our very famous Muffins with ricotta cheese and orange, Mamma Giuliana's "secret" recipe has been disclosed to many of our guests who send us their versions over time. You will also find Florentine schiacciata, recipe by Mamma Franca Maria, a specialty very appreciated especially by foreign guests.

The relaxation area is carefully set up to offer you a cozy and relaxing environment where you can enjoy a selection of hot or cold herbal teas, coffee and cappuccino. You can choose from a wide range of herbs and spices, all carefully selected for their beneficial properties for body and mind.

Parking: for guests traveling by car, subject to availability, there is private parking whose rate is 7 euros per day. Alternatively, along the B&B La Cornice street and nearby, you can find free public parking spaces marked with white stripes.

Excellent in every way with a score of 10 out of 10!   Our experience at La Cornish exceeded expectations! The location was perfect and the view of San Gimignano has to be the best in the entire area. The apartment was immaculate, quiet and everything worked perfectly. The short walk into the heart of San Gimignano (just 10 minutes) was easy and free parking was much appreciated. Benadetta provided us with superb service, attended to all our needs and answered all our questions. Breakfast was fantastic and the view from the dining area was fabulous. We would definitely stay at La Cornish again, and highly recommend it to all - a 10 out of 10!

A fabulous place to stay to visit San Gimignano and surrounding area.

The property was clean and close to the town but also far enough away for it to be peaceful at night. The breakfast was also lovely. Benedetta was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. She made us feel very welcome and went out of her way to ensure we had a fantastic holiday.

Das ist einfach nur toll gewesen. Der herrliche Blick auf den Ort, die Ruhe und die freundliche, hilfsbereite Gastgeberin machen diese Unterkunft zu einem Geheimtipp. Sauberkeit und Ausstattung der Räume, der diskrete Service und die wertvollen Tipps der Gastgeberin-defintiv überdurchschnittlich. Haben uns selten so wohl in einer Unterkunft gefühlt. Abends im wunderbar gepflegten Garten sitzen, den Ort ansehen und dann vielleicht doch noch ein Eis im Ort essen... Ist ja nur ein paar Minuten zu Fuß . Das Frühstück war exzellent. Das geröstete Brot mit hauseigenen Olivenöl wird uns in Erinnerung bleiben. Wenn wir wiederkommen, dann hier her. Parken kann anstrengend sein, aber einfach einen Parkplatz buchen und das Suchen fällt weg. Lob auch an den fleißigen Gärtner. Macht weiter so...ihr seid Spitze.

Ein wunderschönes, kleines B&B mit einem einzigartigen Garten

Das B&B hat eine wunderschöne Lage mit einem einzigartigen Panoramablick auf die Türme San Gimignanos. Das Frühstück war jeden Tag lecker und liebevoll angerichtet. Die Besitzerin Benedetta war ausgesprochen herzlich und hat uns mit Tipps und Wanderrouten beraten. Außerdem konnten wir unser Gepäck dort auch nach dem Auschecken unterbringen, bis es für uns weiterging.

Questo b&b è delizioso, curato nei minimi particolari. A 5 minuti a piedi dal centro storico offre un vista su San Gimignano da cartolina. Camere pulitissime, ampie e confortevoli. La colazione ottima sia dolce che salata. Ringrazio la proprietaria, una persona deliziosa che ci ha accolto in modo caloroso e sorridente. Se avete intenzione di soggiornare a San Gimignano vi consiglio vivamente questa struttura.

La posizione è perfetta, si può facilmente raggiungere a piedi il centro storico, la vista è mozzafiato e il servizio è molto accogliente. Le camere sono molto pulite, spaziose e dotate di asciugacapelli, frigo, tv, il letto è comodo e la doccia è fantastica. Colazione molto buona. Puoi parcheggiare in strada, ma hanno anche un parcheggio privato a 5 euro. Ho già voglia di tornarci!!!

La struttura è moderna e pulita, parlando di comfort non manca assolutamente nulla. I proprietari ci hanno accolto in modo delizioso e la posizione della struttura è magnifica, con una vista spettacolare che abbraccia tutto il borgo di San Gimignano. In una decina di minuti a piedi si arriva al centro. Colazione eccellente e con ampia scelta, con vista sul borgo dal terrazzo. Sicuramente una delle migliori strutture ricettive che abbiamo avuto il piacere di visitare.
