One of the most sought-after destinations in Tuscany is certainly Chianti, characterized by the most beautiful and well-known landscapes in the world. During your walk, Erica will tell you the story of the city of Volpaia, considered one of the medieval villages better preserved over time.
You will walk through vineyards, woods, streams and along the way you can admire pievi (plural of pieve: name used in Tuscany in the Middle Ages for small parishes) and ancient castles; the latters controlled the communication routes that ran through these beautiful hills, which today give the world one of the most famous wines of Italy, the Chianti Classico.
